On 25 Oct, 2018, a Spanish delegation from Aragón Materials Science Institute (ICMA), comprised of Prof. Javier Campo, president and Prof. La fuente leis, Vice President, and Prof. Mehmet Ertugrul from Ataturk University, Turkey, met Prof. Hossein Piri, President of the University of Bonab.
In this meeting, both sides presented some information about their concerned universities through film and PowerPoint and following mutual exchange of ideas, in principle agreed on the followings:
- Both sides will takes steps to establish the academic cooperation including Joint educational, cultural, research activities, exchange of faculty members for research, lectures and discussions, exchange of advanced graduate and professional students for collaborative or independent research, Participation in seminars and academic meetings, exchange of academic materials, publications, and other information, Special short-term academic programs.
- They signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding which extensively describes circumstance of interaction between two universities.
- In order to have concrete results of the meeting, both sides will introduce professors from their affiliated university to be in direct contact for establishing academic cooperation.
In this meeting the Spanish sides expressed their readiness to exchange information about conferences and inviting the faculty members of each university to participate in the events.
It is worth to mention that,
ICMA is a Joint Research Institute founded in 1985 following an agreement between the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Zaragoza (UZ).
