The University of Bonab Language Center (UBLC) started working, employing some expert academic staff to guide students and help promote the English proficiency level of the university community.
At a meeting held on Tuesday, 19-Feb-2019, in the presence of the academic and research vice-president, Dr. Hashemi Motlagh, and some faculty members at the Faculty of Basic Sciences Conference Hall, the Founding Board of UBLC, Dr. Zahra Fakher Ajabshir, Dr. Rahim Dehkharghani, and Dr. Somayyeh Mallaei, introduced the UBLC and discussed the goals and objectives of the center, the sub-groups active there, and the types of services available at this center. At this meeting, held in English, the university’s academic staff also offered their suggestions and ideas on the ways to promote the center.
UBLC has started working, employing professionals in the field to guide students and help promote the English proficiency level of the university community. A variety of services offered in this center include holding regular and intensive English language courses at elementary, intermediate, and advance levels, based on the placement test, holding free discussion classes for teachers and students, holding TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses, providing educational counseling in various areas of second language acquisition, translating texts to Farsi and English, editing and rewriting articles, holding workshops on academic writing, and making international correspondences.
This center is supported by University of Bonab, and certificates of course completion are issued by Bonab University. The books and resources needed by the students will be provided by the university with discounts.
