Earthquake protection systems, methods and apparatus using shape memory alloy (SMA)-based super elasticity-assisted slider (SSS)
Dr. Peyman Narjabadifam, member of Civil Engineering Department at the University of Bonab, has recently succeeded in obtaining a US-Patent score, which is the most strict and prestigious intellectual property registration center in the world.
This achivment, which is the result of his research and pull from his professional experiences in the field of earthquake engineering, opens a new horizon in the Immunization the structuers against earthquake by using advanced materials.
Dr. Peyman Narjabadifam commented about this research and the remarkable outcomes, “Base Isolation is one of the most successful engineering techniques to solve the Immunization challenges and this invention increases its proven positive effects. This is made possible by the use of super-elastic cables and by combining the non-linear geometric and non-linear effects of materials, and it can provide optimal seismic performance in a wide range of structures, including buildings, bridges, equipment and works of art."
