For the second year in a row, the University of Bonab faculty members have been named among the top 2% of the world's most impactful scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier. This database is created by experts at Stanford University, based on data from Elsevier’s Scopus, "the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature." The database includes the top 2% scientists in 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields and provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator.
The inclusion of UoB faculty members, for the second year in a row, in the list of most-cited scientists worldwide, is a clear recognition of the sustained quality and impact of the research conducted by these faculty colleagues. It also demonstrates the potential research activities at UoB can have nationally, regionally and globally.
Nine faculty members made the list this year:
Dr. Mir Sajjad Hashemi: Professor of Applied Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, whose research focuses on Lie symmetry analysis, Fractional differential equations, Partial differential equations, Conservation laws.
Dr. Hojat Afshari: Associate Professor of Pure mathematics and analysis from the Department of Mathematics and Basic Science.
Dr. Ardashir Mohammadzadeh: Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering who has Ph.D in Control Systems and conducted plenty of researchs on Intelligent control systems, Adaptive control, and fuzzy systems- neural network.
Dr. Sayyad Nojavan: Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering from the Department of Power Systems. His research interests include Power system operation and planning, Distribution networks operation and planning, Power system economics, and Hybrid energy systems.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Mohtadi Bonab: Associate Professor from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who has explored about Fracture Mechanics, Failure analysis, Materials Characterization, and Mechanical Properties.
Dr. Ali Ahmadian: Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering from the Department of Power Systems. who has researched Energy Distribution System.
Dr. Sahar Zinatloo-Ajabshir: Associate Professor of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology who has conducted plenty of researchs on Fabrication of various nanomaterials and nanostructures and characterization and evaluation of their application in different fields.
Dr. Marziyeh Ranjbar-Mohammadi: Associate Professor of Textile Engineering who has conducted plenty of researchs on Nanofibrous scaffolds, and Medical Textiles.
Dr. Mehdi Hosseinzadeh Aghdam: Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence who has researched Data Mining, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, and Recommendation Systems.
